KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's wholesale and retail trade sales grew 5.1 percent year on year to 148.3 billion ringgit (33.53 U.S. dollars) in February, official data showed Friday.
The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said in a statement that retail trade sales expanded by 5.9 percent year on year to 65.2 billion ringgit while wholesale trade sales increased by 5.3 percent year on year to 65.5 billion ringgit.
Motor vehicle sub-sector sales expanded by 1.5 percent year on year to 17.6 billion ringgit. (1 ringgit equals 0.23 U.S. dollars)
