KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia on Monday reported 1,212 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the national total to 65,697.

Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said at a press briefing that nine of the new cases were imported, and 1,203 were local transmissions.

Three more deaths were recorded in the country, bringing the death toll to 360 from the coronavirus epidemic.

Another 2,112 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery, bringing the total number of recoveries to 54,759, or 83.4 percent of all cases.

Of the remaining 10,578 active cases, 113 are being held in intensive care units with 42 of them in need of assisted breathing.
