Iraqi oil fields to be tapped by Russian firm

A contract for a large oil operation has been granted by Iraq to to Russian energy company Lukoil and its Norwegian partner, Statoil.
In a deal signed on the weekend, the Russian and Norwegian firms will be allowed to develop the West Qurna Phase 2 oil field in southern Iraq.
The field is believed to be one of the country's largest with known reserves of around 13 billion barrels of oil.
Iraq aims has announced it will dramatically increase oil production to 12 million barrels a day by letting out contracts to foreign companies.  Email this story to a friend

Where are all these protesters now, who shouted that America went to war in Iraq, because of the oil. Remember the slogan was “No blood for oil”.

One is not enough!
Now that Russia has flown its first stealth prototye aircraft,it should start planning and making a more advanced stealth aircraft with a different design in collaboration with India,Iran,Malaysia,Brazil and China.
The US already has F22 and F35.

That’s why his first order of business was to build the World’s Largest Embassy and the World’s largest Military Base! Just to bankrupt the USA!

Just maybe the contract is a repudiation or an open honest bidding? Another form of repudiation! Completely unlike the bid on the 'world’s largest'!?

And dumb dude,Putin never ordered world’s largest embassy of Russia to be built anywhere in the world.And he has only sought to reopen the Russian base in Syria.You see, no people are so dick and gun crazy as the stupid americans and britishers are.So learn to be more accurate.Your knowledge is just as little as your small peabrain.
Bush would have bankrupted USA anyway with his wayward policies and behaviour.So it is good that he is gone.But you have Obama now who is walking the policies of Bush more cleverly.So he appears to be more dangerous to the world and USA.Good lord,the american citizens can’t even elect a decent,honest and peace loving president!! Nice that USA's bid has been rejected!
All wars are started and fought by USA to appease the Jews and their weapon manufacturers.Secondly,these wars are fought to get oil to fill the tanks of america’s oil guzzling automobiles and industries.
So all oil contracts by USA are only to subjugate the oil supplying nation,and any nation worht its salt will ultimately reject offers and biddings by USA.
And when NATO soldiers ,especially US and UK’s soldiers,rape and mutilate Iraqis,you can’t expect the Iraqis to accept USA’s bids for Iraq’s oil contracts.

Well Syed, I find it devilishly interesting you fail to answer
Therefore I am left to surmize a few details. I am guessing you were partially educated in the british system, and had your share of success and failure at it. I am also guessing you missed the part about irony, especially the dramitic irony. And you are prone to speak before you know enough fact.
